I asked my supervisor if she got in trouble for yesterday. She said, "No, why would I get in trouble?" I said, "um, the whole being-drunk-at-work thing maybe?" She said, "I knew I had screwed up so I tried to call in, expecting to be written up. But (her boss) told me not to worry about it and come on in."
Oh. Did not know that.
I'm guessing that decision was made because he didn't want to pay me overtime to come in and cover and he damn sure wasn't going to stay until 10PM to cover it himself.
So that's how that works.
